September is almost here and Eleanor Daggett Memorial Library is moving forward with new, and exciting things that we're proud of!  When you visit the Speed Queen Laundromat in Chama, take note of the "honor" library that we set up inside.  You can "bring one, take one" at this book shelf.  This collaboration between Speed Queen, EDML's Early Literacy Committee, and Las Cumbres Community Services began with a goal to set up Little Free Libraries in our communities.  You should see more of these honor libraries in our communities in the future.

August has flown by with many fun crafts at Eleanor Daggett Memorial's by master crafters, Anndrea Wilcox and Toni Velardi.  September is shaping up to be a time to repurpose vintage books into amazing crafts.  Tuesday, 9/2/15 at 2:00 PM Ann Dixon will be here to show us how to create several fun crafts using vintage paper.  Call or come in to sign up for this class.  There will be a more advanced class showing us how to make IPAD or tablet covers from vintage books.  Participants must know how to sew.  All materials are provided; however, we encourage participants to bring in whatever ornamentation they would like to use to embellish the craft.
